Kellie Pickler headlines this weekend’s action at Atlanta area country bars, nightclubs and honky tonks. .

North Carolina native Pickler performs at Wild Bill’s in Duluth on Friday (10/16), with tickets starting at $25. The former “American Idol” competitor charted three Top 20 singles from “Small Town Girl,” her debut CD: “Red High Heels”, “I Wonder” and a personal favorite, “Things That Never Cross a Man’s Mind.” Her current self-titled CD includes “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful” and her first Top 10 hit, “Best Years of Your Life,” which she co-wrote with BFF Taylor Swift.

Also this weekend you’ll find:
• Nashville singer/songwriters Cory Batten and Karyn Rochelle at The Swallow at the Hollow in Roswell Friday and Saturday nights (10/16-10/17). Tickets are $15 for each show.
• A weekend lineup of local bands and special promotions at Cowboys in Kennesaw, Wild West Bar and Grill in Holly Springs, and Ozone Bar & Grill in Covington.
