"Dancing with the Stars" is releasing the official cast list of the stars competing on season 16 tomorrow morning. A few of the names from that list were recently leaked to the public. For the first time, "DWTS" has chosen a former "American Idol" contestant. TMZ broke the "DWTS" cast news on Feb. 24, 2013, that Kellie Pickler from season five of "American Idol" is one of the 2013 stars.
In addition to Kellie Pickler the other 2013 "DWTS" contestants are Sean Lowe from "The Bachelor," country singer Wynonna Judd and Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman. These are the only celebrities that are confirmed to be dancing this year. All of the other names floating around the internet are rumored.
There have been some surprising cuts made of the professional dancers. Maksim Chmerkovskiy quit "Dancing with the Stars" a few days ago. Chelsie Hightower was not asked to return this year as one of the professional dancers which was pretty shocking because she is such a fan favorite.
The official "DWTS" cast announcement will be made on Feb. 26, 2013. Season 16 premieres Monday, March 18, 2013, on ABC, channel WJXX in Jacksonville, Fla.
