Kelley Hunt comes to Des Moines on February 17

Roots rocker Kelley Hunt will make a stop in Des Moines' East Village on Sunday, February 17 when she plays a show at the House of Bricks. The concert is scheduled to start at 7 p.m., and there is currently no opening act scheduled. Advanced tickets may be purchased online through MidwesTix for $15. Tickets will go up to $20 the day of the concert. This show is open to all ages.

Kelley Hunt's music encompasses a large spectrum of genres, including blues, rockabilly, folk, gospel, R&B, and Americana. The Kansas native is veteran of the festival scene, having played at the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival, Ottawa Bluesfest, and several others. Hunt's latest album, Gravity Loves You, came out in 2011. You can watch Hunt perform a song from that album, entitled "I'm Ready", in the nearby video.

Kelley Hunt has also been involved in television and movies. The singer/songwriter acted in the movie Bunker Hill and played a set at the national press screening for the television show Jericho.
