Kele Okereke's whole new block party

If you’re wondering what Kele Okereke, front man for critically acclaimed British band Bloc Party has been up to lately, you can catch him as a solo act at Sound Nightclub in Hollywood on Monday, February 10. However, whereas Okereke leans to indie rock sounds (with just a dash of dance) in his role as the singer in Bloc Party, his newest sounds, exemplified by the recently released EP Heartbreaker, find this distinctive vocalist exploring underground electronic dance grooves.

The Dim Mak conglomerate has hooked up with Monday Social, a longtime and respected SoCal club series in Los Angeles to present Okereke in a rare club appearance. Expect Okereke to give fans a healthy taste of his newest sounds. With his band, Okereke has always been a beautifully difficult performer to categorize stylistically. And even though dance music will be the central theme of his upcoming appearance, you just know he’s going to present it all with an edgy, indie spirit, just the way he always has.
