On Dec. 5, TV By the Numbers revealed that two country music megastars have been tapped to perform on “The Grammy Nominations Live – Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night.” The TV special airs on Friday, Dec. 6 on CBS and will include live performances by Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.
Hosted again by LL Cool J, the Grammy nominations TV special always includes a stellar line-up of superstars and this year is no exception. Taylor Swift will perform live from Australia. Keith Urban has been tapped for a special performance with Miguel. In addition, the following recording artists will also perform on Friday:
- Katy Perry from Canada
- Robin Thicke
- Earth, Wind & Fire
- Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
- Enrique Iglesias
The 2013 Grammy Nominations Live Concert marks the sixth time the Grammy nominees will be revealed on live TV. Last year’s broadcast of the nominations special helped lead to stellar ratings for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, which pulled in 28.37 million viewers, the second largest TV audience since 1993.
The road to Music’s Biggest Night begins with “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live,” which airs from 10-11 p.m. EST/9 p.m. CST on Dec. 6, and culminates with the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, which airs live from The Staples Center at 8 p.m. EST on Saturday, Jan. 26. Both air on CBS.
