Keith Urban's latest album, Fuse, is one of the man's best to date and the accompanying tour is making two stops along the Florida sand bar over this coming weekend. Friday evening, Sept. 4th, we are invited to capture Keith's performance at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, in Tampa and there is a second date set for Saturday, the 5th at the Cruzan Amphitheatre, over in West Palm Beach, FL. Showtimes are set for a 7:00 PM start time with support being lent from: Dustin Lynch and Little Big Town, as well, so arrive early for an entire evening of great live country music!
Mr. Urban is one of those artist's where the music just comes from within him and any project he touches is of the best quality out there. It is a natural, free form of style that simply clicks from the writing to the melodies and the hooks and lyrics. Keith has been recording music since 1991 when he charted in Australia, prior to moving to conquer the US airways in 1992. All though there are huge hits among this smooth master's library and the majority of them remain on the charts for some time, all of this man's music whether it is solo or a duet and collaboration...is good groovin' and solid music!
This fan has heard some say that they enjoy Keith's music but they do not feel he is a country artist.
Personally, I don't know how else one would categorize this man's talents, as it fits no other category that is made for describing music styles. Furthermore, this fan has moved beyond the labels for music in general, as it changes and alters and blends styles so quickly that why not just call it music? Make things easy! Country and rock and in some instances, even hip-hop artist's are discovering the newer possibilities within not only country music, but all formats alive around us all. There is a touch of crossing over in what Mr. Urban shares and to this fan, well let's just hope we are blessed with this artist's gift for a long future. What is most important is that the music moves you, someway and in form...that you enjoy it and I think Keith Urban makes that rather simple for everyone.
Keith is New Zealand born and was raised in Australia, this is key to note when maybe sensing the difference in the sound to his style, culture plays a huge role in who we become and creatively it more true than not. This fan digs the eclectic blending of sound that comes from Keith Urban's library and anyone that accompanies him. We look forward to this opportunity in great anticipation!
The Urban soundtrack plays back like a great movie, whether you play it forwards or backwards. Songs like 'Til Summer Comes Around', 'You'll think of Me', and 'You Look Good in my Shirt', it makes for one of the best shuffle plays any music fan could request. The new album is in no means any shred of disappointment, as again Fuse plays well from start to finish and I can only imagine this tour has as well. Guests on this project include: Miranda Lambert and other friends of Keith that come together on his projects through writing, playing/recording music, to guest vocalists on songs and this is only the beginning!
When asked how this Fuse project developed, Mr. Urban had this to say:
"I knew it would take time to build an album in a different way," he says of the nearly two years he spent developing the new sound. "The stars aligned and it was the right time to experiment, have things not work and still be able to try again. I was ready for that journey. I didn't want to think in terms of any limitations on the songs—just honor the song and let them be what they want to be." -- Keith Urban.
Keith Urban's style may differ due to the fact that he allows this freedom within this creative process and allowing the songs to become what they wanted to and it may be another circumstance where things do just click, work and you roll with it. The man is a crowd pleaser and solid entertainer with a fabulous knack for writing songs that identify across the board and this show will be nothing less than sharing that with the attending fans!
The Light the Fuse Tour 2013 comes to Florida for two dates only: Friday. Oct. 4th @ MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, in Tampa and Saturday, Oct. 5th @ Cruzan Amphitheatre, in West Palm Beach, FL. You may check for ticket availability here.
A Keith Urban show is a damn good time set to great music and one hell of a party, I hope to see you there!
