Keith Urban dishes on ‘Idol’ judging: ‘We’re putting fun in dysfunction’

Keith Urban is set to make his debut as an American Idol judge this week. One of the three new judges that will be working with singers around the country as the show looks for a winner, the talented country singer definitely has his hands full. On Monday he sat down with Ellen DeGeneres and discussed the job. While it sounds like he is ready to bring on the talent, his analysis of the judges had everyone laughing.

"We are putting fun in dysfunction. It feels like I have joined a band,” said Keith Urban on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Sharing that the combination of two guys and two girls has everyone coming together but it has taken a little time for the judges to come together. By the time the show taped Hollywood week, the judges seemed to have gotten their roles figured out.

While Keith Urban doubts there will be any more big fights, Ellen DeGeneres gave him a gift just in case. A very special cowboy hat, complete with noise cancelling earphones, had the audience laughing as it was a perfect gift just in case the noise level got loud once again.

Take a look at the video clip of Keith Urban chatting about the upcoming American Idol judging. It sound like he is ready to judge talent.
