Keith Richards to receive Norman Mailer literary award from Bill Clinton

Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards is getting yet another award for his critically acclaimed memoir, "Life," which immediately became an international bestseller when it was published in October 2010. The New York Post reports that former U.S. President Bill Clinton will present Richards with the Mailer Prize for Distinguished Biography at the Norman Mailer Center’s benefit at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City on November 8, 2011.

Richards has already received honors for authoring "Life" from the the 2011 GQ Men of the Year Awards and Spike TV's 2011 Guys' Choice Awards. The audio book for "Life" (the English-language version was mostly read by actor Johnny Depp and musican Joe Hurley) received the two prizes at the 2011 Audio Publishers Association Awards (or Audies): audio book of the year and best biography/memoir.
