Keith Richards daughter Theodora Richards arrested for drugs and graffiti

Theodora Richards, the second-born daughter of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, was arrested in New York City for drugs and graffiti on March 1, 2011. Acording to the Associated Press, 25-year-old Theodora was busted that night as she allegedly painted the words "T (heart) A" on the side of a convent in the city's SoHo neighborhood. Police say that Theodora was also in possession of a small amount of marijuana and 8 1/2 hydrocodone pills.

She did not enter a plea when appearing in court on March 2, 2011, but she did reject a deal to plead guilty to disorderly conduct. She is due back in court on April 21, 2011. Her attorney, Stacey Richman, told amNewYork that Theodora is "an elegant woman from a very distinguished family, and she's doing fine."

Theodora, who works as a model and a nightclub DJ, is one of two children from the marriage of Keith to model Patti Hansen. The couple, who wed in 1983, has another daughter, 24-year-old Alexandra, who is also a model.

Keith has two elder children (41-year-old Marlon and 38-year-old Angela) from his relationship with his former live-in girlfriend Anita Pallenberg. Keith and Pallenberg had a third child, a son named Tara, who passed away in 1976 at 10 weeks old. It is widely believed that the child died of sudden infant death syndrome.

Even though Keith has experienced several arrests in his life, none of his children had been arrested, until now. Theodora is named after Keith's maternal grandfather, Theodore Augustus "Gus" Dupree, whom Keith says was one of the biggest influences in why he became a musician.

According to the Daily Mail, Theodora allegedly told a police officer, "I hope I don't get in trouble for this," when police say that she was caught in the act of vandalizing the convent. Theodora also allegedly told police that she bought the hydrocodone pills from a dealer, and she thought the pills were Xanax: "I don't have a prescription for them," Theodora reportedly told a police officer.

March 3, 2011 update: The New York Post reports: "A source said [Theodora] Richards never mentioned to First Precinct cops that she was the famed rocker's daughter, and was polite and 'apologetic' while in custody. Cops learned she was rock 'n' roll royalty after a phone call resulted in her dad reaching out to retired cops on his payroll, who notified officers, a source said. By then, the younger Richards — who lives in a luxury, celebrity-filled apartment building on Lafayette Street near the scene of the crime — had been charged with possession of a graffiti instrument and a controlled substance."
