Another celebrity romance is officially over. Actress Keira Knightley and actor Rupert Friend have called it quits after more than five years together.
Keira Knightley and actor Rupert Friend met on the set of 2005's "Pride & Prejudice." Until several months ago, the couple lived together in a. London home overlooking Hyde Park.
Will Knightley, Keira Knightley's father, spoke with the U.K. magazine "The Sun" about the split:
"Yes, they have broken up.
But that's the way things go, unfortunately. The only option is to get on with things.
They were together for quite a long time, and it is always hard breaking up. She's focused on her work."
According to "The Sun," the breakup was mutual, but left Keira Knightley "heartbroken."
Boston residents are anxiously awaiting Keira Knightley's return to the big screen. Her most recent movie is currently in postproduction. Knightley will portray Sabina Spielrein in the upcoming film "A Dangerous Method."
