Some people might even argue that mental health is much more important for the fact that if you are mentally healthy you can still take care of your own finances, and run your life or business from a wheelchair or bed.

But if you loose your mind it is pretty much over in today’s world. You could quickly become homeless by no fault of your own.

It is very important to try to keep your self mentally healthy for as long as you can.

There are several good ways to keep your mind healthy and active.

By keeping your mind active it helps keep it healthy.

Five ways to keep an active healthy mind are:

1. Reading

2. Doing crossword puzzles.

3. Putting together picture puzzles.

4. Writing your thoughts in a daily journal.

5. Watching TV shows such as Jeopardy and playing along by answering the questions. Right or wrong your mind is playing an active role and much better than setting idle.

Also along with the five ways mentioned above the best thing you can do for overall good health mentally and physically is to eat a well balanced diet of fresh fruits and vegetables daily, and get 20 to 30 minutes of exercise preferably by walking.
