'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' ratings plummet: Show could be canceled

Keeping Up With The Kardashians” is in danger of being canceled, according to a Radar Online report on Oct. 4.

Last Sunday’s episode was apparently the lowest rated of the season attracting just 1.79 million viewers. The show’s network, E!, targets viewers between the ages of 18 and 49. But the show brought in only 1 million views in that demographic.

“This is looking really bad for the Kardashians and their show,” an industry insider said.

“When Kendra Wilkinson‘s show dropped below 1 million viewers they dropped it, so the Kardashian reality show is definitely in trouble.”

The once wildly successful show has been steady at about 2.5 million, but last week's episode showed a huge decline in interest of the viewers.

By comparison, popular shows like "Big Bang Theory" and "Breaking Bad" have averaged 10 to 20 million viewers, claims the report.

Meanwhile, Kim has started to separate herself from the cameras and Bruce moved into his own home in Malibu. Then, there is Khloe’s drama with her husband Lamar Odom. The troubled NBA star has allegedly been involved in multiple affairs and is struggling with drug addiction. The two are also living apart.

There is not word yet on possible spin-off's. If the show goes, the fashion lines, cosmetics and lucrative personal appearance deals could follow.
