Keeping our best friend safe

It’s time to begin the summer check of the year. Making sure that all during the winter months when our FFBF only went out long enough to take care of business and come right back; nothing has made its way into the yard which can prove harmful to our friend. I know it’s our yard and what would be there that we did not put there right? Our FFBF is like an eagle eye when it comes to new things to explore. Perhaps a board over a pit we were digging has moved or maybe when the garbage blew over something sharp made its way to our FFBF’s play area. Also we were in a hurry to get that garbage can and trash picked up due to the wind and rain; we didn’t see something from a neighbor’s yard which blew in. Or perhaps someone walking by through something in, we just need to be sure.

And picking up after ourselves when outside gardening is an absolute must; so much of what we put in our ground and around the yard is not good for our FFBF. All of these are especially true if during the winter we got a new pet. When housebreaking new puppy many people put a leash on the puppy to take it out to take care of business and it works well for getting use to the leash also. The drawback is we only see what is in the immediately area of where the new friend is taken. However, once trained to go outside – which can be very quickly, they are out and about exploring the yard. So let’s check the yard, it only takes a minute and can save a lot of money and so much heartbreak. Poison control for pets.com
