Keeping all your online dating Easter eggs in one basket

Are all your eggs in one basket?

With Easter coming up on April 12th, it seemed a good time to discuss your eggs.  (No, not the eggs in your ovaries, ladies.)  I'm talking about your online dating eggs.

So many people say, "I'm gonna do this online dating thing!" and then give up after an unsuccesful month on one site.  "This sucks!!" they exclaim.  "I paid my money and got nothing to show for it.  Online dating is useless."

Well, it sure is if you only put your eggs in one basket.

One of the keys to being successful (at least in number of date options!) is to have your profile on several sites.   Generally I advise one of them be a paid site like Match.com, eHarmony, ChristianCafe, or JDate.  The others can be free sites.  If you're brave, you can even put up your ad on craigslist.  (But don't say I didn't warn you - click the link to see what happened when I put up profiles there.)

Putting your eggs in multiple baskets allows your profile to be seen by more people.  More people seeing your profile translates into more potential dates!
