Keep Your Resume Updated

If you are still looking for your next great position and you've been looking for some time, you're probably thinking, "What seems to be the problem?" Well one of the most common mistakes job searchers make is not frequently updating their resume.

Now, you might think to yourself that you've been out of work for some time, so what possible new information could you put in a resume? Well, even if you have been out of the job market for a while, you may be overlooking some other skills, volunteer opportunities, freelance positions, or temporary jobs that would help your resume stand out among a sea of other applicants.

Even if you haven't done anything that you consider substantial enough to warrant an update to your resume, it's worth your while to take a look at it and have someone, or some agency take a look at it for you. You may see something as minor, but it could have a major impact on your marketability. You've got nothing to lose and possibly a brand new position to gain.
Stay encouraged, think outside the box and don't give up until you're in that next great position!
