Keen-17 TV: Local Christian Broadcasting 24/7 on Cox Communications

LAS VEGAS— Keen-17 TV, a faith-based, locally owned and operated family television station, will debut on Cox Communications’ Southern Nevada cable system on channel 119 on February 1, 2011.

Steve Schorr, Vice President, Cox Communications and Dale Davidson, President and General Manger of Keen-17 TV have joined forces in bringing hope to our community’s spiritual, economic and social recovery.

Keen-17 and Cox Communications will bring Las Vegans innovative local programming working on projects that benefit the whole community. Valley churches, faith-based organizations, national music and talk programs from the Legacy TV and Worship networks will bless our community 24/7.

“We are striving to be uplifting and hopeful in all of our programming. Our entertainment and talk programs focus on constructive solutions for the everyday problems we all face. All of our shows feature positive role models. We intend to provide the kind of television shows the whole family can watch together,” Davidson said.

Keen-17 has prayerfully developed youthful programming that encompasses Christian values, education, family focus and global awareness. Programming includes shows like Aqua Kids; a children’s program dedicated to educating young people about the importance of protecting marine environments and animals.

Kids Cooking for Kids, Nanna’s Cottage, Dr. Wonder’s Workshop, Dooley and Pals, and “Critter Gitters are designed for younger viewers. Educational shows for older youth are Sugar Creek Gang, 9thPeriod, and “Real Life 101. Adventures in Odyssey is a family favorite airing weekly.

The entire family can enjoy American Heritage, Saturday Night at the Movies, Heroes Among Us, Exploring History’s Treasures and The FBI Files. Keen-17 will air Dr. Billy Graham, Woodrow Kroll, Randy Weiss, Kay Arthur, Pat Robertson, Dr. Michael Youssef, Joseph Prince, David Jeremiah and more with regularly scheduled programs.

Keen-17 TV has planned a well rounded platform for growth and enjoyment in all areas. Your Health with Dr. Richard and Cindy Becker, Aspiring Women, Dr. Anna Marie, McDougall, M.D., Love, Marriage and Stinking Thinking, Message in the Music, Come to the Cross Ministries, Testimony Café, Las Vegas Tonight, Momentum, God’s View and Follow Me are examples of the programs KEEN-17 will air.

Keen-17 TV will be available on channel 119 to all Cox subscribers who either have a digital tuner in their TV sets or subscribe to Cox’s digital service. Keen-17 is a local television station that also broadcasts on channel 17.1 over the air, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
