Ke$ha looking for teeth in rehab facility for eating disorder

Pop star Ke$ha is on the hunt for some teeth while squirreled away in a Chicago area rehab facility for an eating disorder. Ke$ha's friend tweeted the strange request to the artist's fans Wednesday, to send more teeth to the singer's rehab center.

"Hey guys this is K's friend again. She's doing well and needs more of your teeth to make art with at the treatment center. She misses you :)", Ke$ha's pal wrote on Twitter, according to E! News on Jan. 22.

Ke$ha is apparently bored, but of course it's well known that certain eating disorders can cause sufferers' teeth to rot out. So hopefully she's only seeking dental donations for artistic purposes!

This odd request came a day after the same friend hopped on the "Tik Tok" singer's Twitter account to thank fans on Ke$ha's behalf for their continuing support.

She checked into the treatment facility on Jan. 3. In a statement Ke$ha acknowledged her eating disorder and told fans she'd be unavailable for the next 30 days.

The 26-year-old herself has since offered up a message of thanks as well. On Wednesday she tweeted the work she's doing is hard, but necessary.

She then thanked fans for their love and support. E! News reports they confirmed the authenticity of the tweets with Ke$ha's rep, but it is odd the Twitter handle is @keshasuxx.

As for asking fans to send her teeth, Ke$ha has apparently been using the pearly whites in her art for some time, using real teeth in bras, bandanas and various pieces of jewelry.

So the request isn't that odd, but unfortunately for the art world, the treatment center is not on board. A rep for the facility told TMZ, "We can't accept human remains."

They explained that there's a risk that it could be a bio-hazard, so they can't accept any material real.
