Ke$ha has canceled her remaining tour dates to continue treatment for anorexia and bulimia, People reported Feb. 4.
"I was so looking forward to performing at these dates, but I need to follow my doctor's advice and get my health back on track," said Kesha, 26.
Ke$ha kicked off her five-leg Warrior Tour in May 2013. The tour was supposed to wrap up in April 2014, but it now appears the rest of the tour is canceled as she tends to her health.
Kesha entered rehab to seek treatment for anorexia and bulimia on Jan. 3. At the time, Kesha had lost a dramatic amount of weight, and almost died from starvation, according to her mother, Pebe Sebert.
Sebert said Ke$ha had been anorexic and bulimic since age 18 (when she signed with her former manager, David Sonenberg), and had been repeatedly fat-shamed by him. Ke$ha's longtime music producer, Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald, reportedly joined in on the weight-bullying.
Sebert said Sonenberg encouraged Kesha's anorexia and bulimia by browbeating her to do whatever it took to lose weight, including doing drugs, vomiting and starving herself. Both Dr. Luke and Sonenberg have denied the fat-shaming accusations.
Dr. Luke has since received numerous death threats on Twitter from angry Ke$ha fans. Dr. Luke has contacted the Los Angeles Police Department to hunt down the people making the violent threats, according to TMZ.
Dr. Luke, who allegedly called Kesha a "fat f**ken refrigerator," is taking the death threats seriously because one tweet gave his home address and phone number and encouraged followers to kill him. The disturbing threats included the following:
- "You need to be worried because IMA slit your throat before January is over."
- "You ugly fat *ss bum b*tch. Im gonna carve u like a pumpkin with a long sharp knife."
- "Im gonna gut you like a fish then skin you and glue ur wrinkly raisin skin to a fridge!"
- "I'm gonna slit your F**KIN throat open then gouge your eyeballs out."
