If you are reading this, it is safe to assume that you like myself consider KCSM an invaluable cultural asset. It is not too much to say that the Bay Area's jazz radio station contributes significantly to the quality of life across Northern California and beyond. Here's an opportunity to have a great afternoon and help keep the station on the air.
The end of the year is rapidly approaching and we want to end 2013 with a bang by inviting you to a very special and unique party this December 15 at College of San Mateo's Theater. The doors open at 2 p.m. so you can mingle with your favorite on-air personalities and sample excellent wines and light refreshments. From 3-5 p.m. you will enjoy live jazz performances by Le Jazz Hot (a Quartet of The Hot Club of SF) and KCSM's own Family Band, featuring some of our most beloved on-air personalities. This is the last effort for Jazz 91 to close 2013 in the black. As you probably know, we did not meet our goal this past Fall Pledge Drive, so we are hoping to make up the difference with this $60 per ticket fundraising event before we all get busy with the holidays. Lastly, you will also take home an advanced copy of last summer's Jazz On The Hill performances CD and be automatically entered into a Jazz Cruise Giveaway for two.
