KCRW (89.9FM and KCRW.com)continues to bring free music to communities across Los Angeles as part of the Summer Nights series. It’s just one of the many ways the public radio station gives back to its dedicated listeners and music fans throughout Southern California.
The Santa Monica-based station has a bunch of events planned close to home. KCRW is presenting the Twilight Dance Series on Thursday nights at the Santa Monica Pier, which is already in full swing. Upcoming shows include appearances by the Royal Crowne Revue,Orgone, The Duo-Tones, Dawes and more. Each night is hosted by aKCRW personality and you can see the full line up here.
KCRW DJs will also provide the happy hour soundtrack for sunsets atSanta Monica Place. It’s the perfect place to soak in the natural beauty of the beach, with breathtaking ocean views from the rooftop dining deck.KCRW SunSets will take place Wednesday nights throughout August, starting August 10, from 5 to 7pm. KCRW also returns to Chinatown for two Saturdays this summer.Chinatown Summer Nights is part food event – with live cooking demonstrations and food trucks -- and part summer party, with KCRW DJs rocking the dance floor from 9pm to midnight on Saturday, August 27 and Saturday, September 10.
All KCRW “Summer Nights” events are free, all ages, and open to the public with no RSVP required.
