Crisp autumn days are here and you go out, maybe with your kids, and go pick out the perfect pumpkin. Bring it home, carve it and put outside with a candle and marvel at how neat it looks and the reactions on your kids faces when they see it glowing. Or, maybe you like the decorating aspect and go out and have corn stalks or funky little pumpkins mixed with big ones all strategically placed outside to make your house look festive. Now, what do you do with the pumpkins when you're done with them or they start to rot? Do you put them in the trash, compost, or do you like to bring out your crazy and smash them to pieces?
Well, maybe you would like to see some awesome animals get crazy with pumpkins. The Kansas City Zoo is holding their Great Pumpkin Smash! Saturday, November 2nd, they will have 30 minute smash periods with different animals around the zoo. Just a glimpse of the animals you could see having a great time are the, chimps, elephants, hippos and tigers. Come see them, bounce, throw, smash or maybe even eat big, orange pumpkins. Kids will love to see them with the pumpkins so be sure to bring your camera!
