Where’s the music? You know, the soul swaying kind that can change your mood from” like” to “love?”
The kind that makes you want to love and be loved.
The albums you could put in and just press play.
No skipping around, ruining the mood, or are just plain contradicting to the song before.
Rhythm and Blues used to speak to us! It used to capture the genuine image of adoration and respect.
It taught men how to speak to women, and it showed women what was possible in a man’s love.
Today’s music speaks a different language. It’s less love and adoration; more lust and selfishness but there is a 12 track album recorded, produced, and arranged by an upcoming artist Mike James Jr. that replicates true R&B, in an effort to get us back on track.
He sings scenarios into existence, following true life dialogue while delivering and depicting the happiness and hardship of love to our ears.
It’s not like what you hear on the radio, unless you are listening to throwbacks, it’s rare and pure music, the way it was meant to be.
