Kansas City Fashion Week at Union Station is nearly upon us. Saturday, March 15 at 2 p.m. please welcome Kansas City native Nataliya Meyer's Oblivion Clothing Design. "Within my collection I created a story of ballgowns that will bring ladies to phantasmagoriccarnival!" says Meyer.
Couture evening dresses kept top secret are premiering Saturday during KCFW. "The new collection I'm working on will blow your mind," Meyer describes, "after countless hours of work and effort, sleepless nights..." Besides her debut at in Kansas City Fashion Week, her new boutique Lucia's Sarto opens mid March, in the heart of Kansas City.
"The collection is top secret," Meyer explains, and is highly anticipated due to the corsets, feathers, rosettes, and fringe of her designs. She studied pattern making and fashion design in the Ukraine where she was born, which stands Oblivion apart. "Huge personality is what's in."
We can expect to see her Ukraine and Kansas City influenced designs as "city scapes and club scenes," Meyer describes. "You know how Spring winds flow through downtown and the feathers move, or a twirling dancer making the quills vibrate."
