Kaylee Crossfire, Young Key, & The Elite League Presents: The Female Takeover

At the beginning of August, Milwaukee based artist/model Kaylee Crossfire set free one of the biggest collaborations and movements of the local music scene with the release of her “Female Takeover” song/video. The collective is an all-female posse anthem that includes the likes of fellow artists: Kia Rap Princess, Lady SabO, Young Key, and Remedy Da Kure. The ladies come with rebellious take no prisoners attitudes as they assert themselves in a male dominated world. A dramatic hardcore production of grade A quality serves as their backdrop and was provided courtesy of JBreezz Beatz.

The song was shared with the world via video. The visual was put together by Champ Robinson. It’s basically a conceptual representation of the ladies laying down the law. They embark on a kidnapping mission that leaves a trio of their fellow male counterparts in an unfortunate situation. The video received an outpouring of positive acclaim from: fans, supporters, media, and more. It is currently holding steady on YouTube with a little over 3,000 views. Please take a moment to check out the visuals on the side of the post.

To take things to the next level Kaylee and Young Key have put together the Female Takeover Showcase. It will include the other ladies, along with a multitude of fresh new divas. Some of the best and the brightest in music, dance, fashion, comedy, etc; will all come together under one roof this Saturday (October 5th) to share their talents in an one of a kind event. The affair will be held at Nostalgias 1 (7155 North 43rd St.) from 5pm until 9pm. It is an all-ages show with $10 advanced tickets available now and a $15 cover fee at the door on the big day.

Limited edition t-shirts were also made for sale to commemorate this momentous occasion. Additional details and purchasing info can be found via the event page on Facebook. Kaylee and Young Key may be contacted via said page as well. And to prove that they still have love for the guys, the best dressed male in attendance will receive a $50 cash prize. This is a history making occurrence as nothing like this has ever been done in the city before. Thus support is crucial. So it is asked that anyone who is able make a valiant effort to be present and have a good time. The ladies will be more than happy to see everybody.
