Kaufman County Narcotics investigators make $250,000 meth bust

Terrell, Texas- Kaufman County Narcotics investigators made a major drug bust on December 6, 2011 after receiving a tip about a methamphetamine selling operation that was taking place at a Terrell hotel. The tipster let it be known that one of the suspects was a wanted fugitive and was known to be armed.

Using that information and a description of the suspect’s vehicle, investigators positioned themselves to do undercover surveillance at the hotel. They spotted the suspects Chevy Malibu leaving the hotel and stopped the vehicle on Interstate 20. Deputies were given consent by the driver to search the car. According to KCSO spokeswoman Pat Laney, during their search they located “a bank bag under the driver’s seat with baggies of what was believed to be methamphetamines.
