Katzkin was founded in 1983 and in 1986 manufactured its first custom leather interior for the Honda Accord. As of 1998, the interiors are manufactured in Montebello, CA and Malaysia with their partner, DK-Schweizer who is a supplier of leather interiors for Asian and European automotive manufactures.
Katzkin has an impressive list of relationships such as an official leather supplier for Ford Motor Company and Shelby American, Inc. They are the only tested and approved leather seat accessory for Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram & Fiat vehicles. Additionally, Katzkin is also the exclusive supplier for Carmax and AutoNation in Florida. They do not offer interior packages for makes that come exclusively with leather.
MSRP is $1,995 for the factory –style, the next level is Katzkin Design for $2,195 and then “Design Your Own” for even more options. Keep in mind, this a permanent modification that looks amazing for many years or even decades that you’re aware of the entire time you’re in the car. A well matched leather interior arguably has the most appeal of any modification, and definitely the most intimate.
