Katy, TX is ready to overflow this coming weekend- overflow, that is, with fine craft beer and an outpouring of support for the local community. The event is known as the Katy Wild West Brew Fest and it’s coming your way this Saturday with a pre- party event on Friday.

Featuring some of the best craft beer in Texas and beyond, the Katy Wild West Brew Fest takes place on Saturday, May 10 between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Katy’s Villagio Town Center, located at 22764 Westheimer Parkway. Based on official information, there will be more than 55 breweries at the festival serving up more than 200 different beers. The festival will afford event goers the opportunity to sample some new beer and enjoy some familiar favorites.

But the beer is only the beginning! The Katy Wild West Brew Fest wants to entertain and serve and it plans to achieve its mission through such extras as:

  • Live Music
  • Silent auction, featuring more than 100 items for sale
  • Home Brew Competition
  • Best Bites Competition
  • Best Tap Wall
  • Best Beer of the Katy Wild West Brew Fest

Tickets to the main event can be purchased at the door on the day of the event for just $34 each. This price includes general admission and a drink ticket good for 12, 2 oz. (approx.) samples. Additional drink tickets can be purchased as needed for $10 each.

For a pre- festival warm-up the Katy Wild West Brew Fest is sponsoring a pre party on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. It will be held at Katy’s No Label Brewing, 5351 A First Street, Katy, TX. The cost for this pre- party event is $30 and tickets can be purchased by clicking here.

The Katy Wild West Brew Fest is more than just an opportunity to imbibe the beer we love. It is also about community and the Katy Rotary Club returns all proceeds to the local community. Some of the recipients include Katy ISD, Katy Christian Ministries, Brookwood Communities, Children’s Toy Drives, FFA, Fine Arts, and more. It’s all about service to the local community- a philosophy that has guided Rotary Clubs international since its founding nearly 110 years ago.

Beer, live music, a silent auction, beer contest, and money for charity- when you consider everything, this is easily one of the premier beer festivals in the Houston area. Click the link above to purchase tickets to the pre- party and arrive in person on Saturday to purchase tickets to the main event. It’s all in support of worthy causes and it all happens this weekend in Katy, Texas.
