Katy Perry speaks at the Grammys, says she'll stay true to herself in the future (Photos)

During the 55th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California, several stars from the world of music flocked to the Staples Center for the festivities.

One of those in attendance was “Teenage Dream” singer Katy Perry.

Not only was Perry in the building to serve as a presenter, she was also nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for her track “Wide Awake”.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest of E! Online, the 28-year-old superstar spoke on the longevity that “Teenage Dream” has had over the past few years.

“It’s exciting because it was a prefect punctuation to a really long run,” Perry said of her nomination. “The record actually spanned over three different Grammy seasons. It feels like the chapter is closed and I’m ready to start something new.”

Speaking on her future, Perry insists she is working on something new as we speak.

“I’m not going to try to duplicate anything,” said Perry. “I’m just going to try to stay true to myself.”
