Katy Perry will be busy on her Prismatic World Tour, but that won’t stop the “Roar” singer from performing at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. According to Billboard.com on Tuesday, the pop superstar will give a debut performance of her new song “Birthday,” at the awards show in Las Vegas.

Perry will be performing the hit song from her Prism album live via satellite. This should be another memorable performance for Perry who is a finalist in 10 categories this year. “Birthday” is currently in the top 15 on the Billboard Pop Songs Chart, and is just another in a string of hits from Perry.

The three-time Billboard Music Award winner will join a lineup that will include some of music’s biggest stars. Set to join the star in Vegas will be 5 Seconds of Summer, Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, Jason Derulo, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Lorde, Luke Bryan, Miley Cyrus, Miranda Lambert and a performance by Latin sensation Ricky Martin.

Perry’s Prismatic World Tour kicked off May 7 in Belfast, Northern Ireland where she already made news by kicking off the opening show with a video montage showing her spitting up blue and green paint, Lady Gaga-style. The paint-puking performance drew some criticism as it came just a couple months after Gaga was accused of glamorizing eating disorders after pulling off a similar stunt. It may have been done as a wink towards her pop rival, but Gaga apparently was not amused. The ARTPOP singer tweeted, “it looks like green hair and mechanical horses are the thing now [eyeballs].”

Although the two singers seem to be throwing shade at one another to maintain that their music is different, the two are compared because of their similar onstage performance tactics and the way they push the limits with their style. They are both also mainstays on the Billboard 100 hits. It will be interesting to see what Gaga and the rest of the music world thinks about Perry’s “Birthday” performance. The 2014 Billboard Music Awards will premiere this Sunday on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
