Katy Perry is basking in the sun of her latest record "Prism" as the project shifts over one million copies sold in 11 weeks of sale.
The album moved roughly 51,000 copies last week, lifting the total to 1.02 million and making "Prism" her third million-selling album of her career, as reported by Nielsen SoundScan.
Previously, "One of the Boys" (2008) and "Teenage Dream" (2010) boasted more than one million units. The latter record has since gone double platinum, according to the RIAA.
The sales of "Prism" has been bolstered by the multi-week No. 1 lead single "Roar," which borrows textures and beats from Sara Bareilles' equally-anthemic "Brave," the ballad "Unconditionally" (which peaked at No. 14 on the Hot 100) and the latest entry "Dark Horse," featuring Juicy J.
"Dark Horse" charged 11-6 this week on the charts, becoming the singer's 13th Top 10 Hot 100 smash.
