Just prior to the release of her new album, “Prism,” singer and song writer, Katy Perry has landed a new gig. She is the official face of American cosmetics brand, CoverGirl. The news was shared by the singer via Twitter on Oct. 16.
The 28-year-old “California Girl” tweeted an exclusive first picture of her photo shoot. “BEAUTIFUL news to share w/you all. Today is my 1st day as a @COVERGIRL! See what happens when you let the light in! #COVERGIRLKATY,” she wrote.
The first look is subtle and demure with the singer flaunting a dab of blush and bold lips. A touch of mascara accentuate the eyes. A look that will “make you ROAR!”
“In addition to music, I’ve always considered makeup to be a powerful creative avenue of self-expression,” Perry said in a statement. “I’m honored to partner with CoverGirl and share more colors and textures of my approach to beauty to inspire my audience.”
On the other hand, the brand is excited about the “passion, playfulness, and bold style sensibility,” Katy brings to the table.
