On Jan. 10, American singer-songwriter Katy Perry revealed the official cover art for her "Dark Horse" single in a Twitter post. The art work was created by Yao Xiao, who is an artist and illustrator based in New York City. The single art features an illustration of Perry with her head turned and the words "Dark Horse" underneath her picture. In the bottom corners of the picture there is also a bird and empty birdcage.
The song "Dark Horse" features rapper Juicy J and it is the third official single from her fourth studio album, Prism. The album was released on Oct. 18, 2013 and reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. The single "Dark Horse," has thus far reached No. 6 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. The first two singles from the album, "Roar" and "Unconditionally," have also enjoyed a fair amount of success on the Billboard charts.
Perry is set to announce 2014 North American tour dates in support of her album Prism soon. She is currently asking fans to send in pictures and videos of their cities, which will be compiled into a tour announcement video.
