Pop singer Katy Perry hosted the We Can Surive: Music for Life concert on Wednesday night in Los Angeles. Perry performed her catalog of hits. Singers Ellie Goulding, Sara Bareilles, Bonnie Mckee, Kacey Musgraves and Tegan and Sarah also sang at the show. When Katy closed out the concert with "Roar," she performed the uplifting track with all the aforementioned ladies.
The We Can Survive: Music for Life concert was a sold-out show in Los Angeles that benefited the Young Survival Coalition. Perry, Goulding, Bareilles, McKee, Musgraves and Tegan and Sara all performed at the event. Katy headlined the show so she got to do most of her hits. When Perry did the finale number "Roar," she brought out everyone who performed before her to sing the mighty track.
During the "Roar" performance, every woman on stage got a moment to themselves to sing a verse of Perry's no. 1 single. It was cool to see Bareille sing the tune since there was some controversy awhile back for "Roar" sounding similar to her song "Brave." McKee co-wrote "Roar" with Katy so that was fun to see her sing the single well. Everyone, including Perry herself, did a rousing rendition of "Roar" that was a fitting closer to the concert.
Perry's "Prism" album was released on October 22.
