On Jan. 26, American singer-songwriter Katy Perry performed her single "Dark Horse" live at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards with rapper Juicy J. The award show took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and it was broadcast live on CBS. You can watch Katy Perry and Juicy J's live performance of "Dark Horse" at the 2014 Grammy Awards here.
Perry was introduced by actor Steve Coogan ("Philomena") and the performance began with the singer inside a giant smoke filled globe that looked like a magic crystal ball. The stage production transformed the stage into a spooky forest with Perry looking reminiscent of a witch. She was joined on stage by Juicy J, back-up dancers and a life sized dark horse.
In 2014 Perry was nominated for two Grammy Awards, both for her song "Roar." She lost in both categories of Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year. The song "Dark Horse" is the third single from her fourth studio album, Prism. The album was released on Oct. 18, 2013 and went on to reach No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
