September 2, 2010 -- Today, Katy Perry is in London promoting her hit Teenage Dream. But here in the US, this golden artist hits high with that song in two versions, one on the self-titled album and one on the California Gurls album. Both are in the top ten of the Billboard hot 100 list.
Perhaps even better today, Teenage Dream -- the tune that talks about skintight jeans and love -- debuted at number one on the Billlboard Top 200, a hot topic on ET.
Meanwhile, on the Billboard Hot 100, Teenage Dream on Teenage Dream is number 2 while Teenage Dream featuring Snoop Dogg on California Gurls is number 7.
Perry's chart position today puts her new tune one back from hot number one against the mighty Love the Way You Lie with Recovery from Eminen and featuring Rihanna, the California girl's good friend.
With the Santa Barbara-born Perry off in Blighty, one suspects that she may be looking for wedding accoutrement as well as music fans since her marriage to Brit Russell Brand is set for the fall.
