The official United States tour dates for Grammy-nominated pop star Katy Perry's The California Dreams Tour 2011 were announced, and the summerlong concert kicks off on June 7th in Atlanta, GA and will be coming to Chicago on July 8, 2011 at the Allstate Arena.
The California Dreams Tour 2011 is just over two months long and wraps up on August 14, 2011 in Santa Barbara at the Santa Barbara Bowl. No word has been announced on opening acts, but all concerts are being held at some of the biggest venues in each city.
Katy Perry is touring in support of her commercially and critically successful third studio album, Teenage Dream, which was released on August 24, 2010 via Capital Records. To date, Teenage Dream has sold over 5 million copies worldwide, and went #1 in seven different countries.
The album has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album. It has thus far spawned 4 singles ,which include the Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals Grammy-nominated song "California Gurls" featuring Snoop Dogg (list of Grammy nominees Katy Perry is up against).
Needless to say, fans have been anxious for a proper Katy Perry headlining tour, and it looks like 2011 is going to be chock full of her touring. All tour dates are listed below for Katy Perry's The California Dreams Tour 2011.
