Her new album “Prism” hit the #1 spot on the Billboard charts and today, three months after dropping, it’s still camped out in the Top 10. The effort features “Roar,” her biggest hit single ever. Now Katy Perry has announced the dates for the North American leg of the tour to support the album, the Prismatic World Tour, which will be making stops in 46 U.S. and Canadian cities including in a couple of smaller markets like Fargo, North Dakota and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Fans in Raleigh, North Carolina will be the first to see the new show as Perry opens the tour there at the PNC Arena on June 22. Most of Perry’s shows in July will be in the northeast and include shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City, an additional show in Brooklyn and several gigs in Canadian cities. The tour continues throughout the summer and wraps up in early autumn with October shows in Dallas, Memphis, Tulsa, New Orleans and Houston.

Support acts on the Prismatic World Tour will be Capital Cities, who begin the tour with Perry in Raleigh; Kacey Musgraves and Tegan and Sara will separately take over the opening slots as the tour progresses. The stage design for the tour is said to be state of the art and specially designed for this tour in a manner that will let fans get closer to Perry than ever before. There will be a special close-up “Reflection Section” at each show; tickets to that general admission area will be limited.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale on Tuesday, January 21 for holders of Citi credit cards. Citi is the tour’s major sponsor. Others can pre-order tickets via Facebook on January 23. As she has in the past, Perry will be donating $1 from each ticket sold for the Prismatic World Tour to charity, this time to UNICEF.

Citi credit card holders can find ticket information at the Citi’s Private Pass Program website.

Details on how to purchase tickets through Facebook will be announced soon at the official Katy Perry website.
