Katy Perry and John Mayer split: Prelude to a wedding chatter ends

Katy Perry and John Mayer have gone south, but not south for a vacation, their relationship has gone south, as the couple has once again split. Perry and Mayer had an on-again and off-again relationship at first, but the two seemed to get it together since their last split in March of 2013, according to Fox News on Feb. 26.

Mayer is known as a heart breaker among the celebrity set with Jennifer Aniston and even young Taylor Swift having a go at it with this guy in the past. It looked like Katy had what it takes to keep Mayer’s attention for the long-run, but apparently something happen.

The split was reportedly initiated by Perry and this comes on the heels of all the engagement rumors circling the media about these two. Katy was pictured with a big rock on her hand recently, setting off the prelude to a wedding chatter, but it appears that’s not the case.

The couple seemed fairly secure in their relationship when they did a duet for Katy’s album “Paradise Alley.” They steamed up the camera with their rendition of “Who You Love,” but something must have happened taking them from a couple seemingly in love to a couple on the outs.
