Katt Williams arrested again after failing to appear in court (Video)

Katt Williams was arrested again on Jan. 8, 2013 in Los Angeles after failing to appear for a scheduled court date in Sacramento stemming from a felony arrest in November. He explained to TMZ that he only failed to appear in one courtroom so he could appear in another instead. Williams said he had a child custody case on the same date he was scheduled in Sacramento; he lost the case.

After Katt Williams was arrested, his bail was set at $105,000. He was released later the same evening. Even though $105,000 sounds like an immense sum of money, the comedian can well afford it. His onstage antics and performances as an actor and a stand-up comedian have earned him plenty of money. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the troubled performer's estimated net worth is $4.5 million.

The comedian has been in the headlines more than his fair share lately between his multiple recent arrests, his concert meltdown and his slapping a Target employee who he claims called him a racial slur.

In late November 2012, Katt Williams was sued after a performance gone wrong. The comedian stripped off his clothes, confronted a heckler and attempted a physical altercation with three members of the shocked audience before ending the performance. The class action lawsuit was filed on Thanksgiving Eve in Alameda, Calif. by Brian Herline, a dissatisfied member of the comedian's Oakland audience on Nov. 16. Also being sued is Williams's promoter, Live Nation. Herline is seeking unspecified damages in the lawsuit.

When the comedian allegedly struck a Target employee on Nov. 25, 2012, many people cited his behavior as just another piece of evidence pointing to a possible meltdown, but the troubled celebrity revealed his reason for striking the man in the Sacramento, Calif. department store. The employee allegedly called him the "n-word."
