Katrina Elam star of Pure Country 2: The Gift

Katrina Elam, the star of the new movie Pure Country 2: The Gift and a performer at the 2010 Inspirational Country Music Awards on October 14, threw down some powerhouse vocals at The Stage in Nashville on Friday, October 15. Dressed in a simple cowl-necked brown dress and matching boots, the petite blond from Bray, Oklahoma performed several songs from the soundtrack of Pure Country 2: The Gift.

Door prizes were drawn and T-shirts with the Pure Country 2: The Gift logo on them were handed out to those who filled the downtown venue for the short set as were copies of the first single from the movie, "Dream Big." In the movie, the song with some faith elements is performed by an African-American church choir along with Bobbie Thomas as a child. "Dream Big" becomes Bobbie's theme song and is sung by Katrina Elam more than once in the movie.

VIP Guests: Chris Cain, Sharon Thomas, Krisanda Cain

Chris Cain the directors of both "Pure Country" films, his wife Sharon Thomas (who plays talk show host "Marilyn") and their daughter Krisinda Cain (who plays "Sis" in the movie) were on hand to watch their favorite rising country star perform.
