Katniss chooses to fight in teaser trailer to Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1

The odds are indeed in the favor of Hunger Games fans as the next installment to Lionsgate's major franchise is on the way. In the next film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, things are going to be much different in the world of Panem. In the past two entries, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) has had to survive two Hunger Games. However, the next event won't be happening this year as the Capital turns Katniss, her fellow victors and the refugee of District 12 into enemies of Panem. In order to survive, the group heads to the mysterious District 13 and form a rebellion against President Snow. Along with Jennifer Lawrence, the film stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Julianne Moore, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Natalie Dormer, Stef Dawson, Evan Ross, Lily Rabe, Patina Miller, Wes Chatham, Elden Henson and Robert Knepper,

During Comic-Con weekend, Lionsgate announced that the first trailer to Mockingjay Part 1 would arrive today; and sure enough the studio delivered on their promise. The teaser can be now be seen online in its one minute and three second glory. Even for a teaser, this preview can be regarded as short. The preview shows District 13 as well as featuring Julianne Moore's President Alma Coin. As things are looking bad in the Capital, one of the rebels ask Katniss if she will fight and strongly says yes; cementing this protagonist as the rebellion's leader. While many fans may have hoped to see more, the teaser accomplishes at showing a lot while not revealing too much. Viewers will notice that the world of Panem is quite different; and this first part to the Hunger Game's finale may get very intense. Needless to say, the next installment to The Hunger Games cannot come any sooner.
