Katie Holmes has lined up her next project. Digital Spy reported on Wednesday that the actress will join Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford in Responsible Adults, which is a new romantic comedy set for release to Scottsdale Theaters in 2012.
In the film, Katie Holmes will play a thirty-year-old medical student that starts dating a younger man only to realize she once babysat the man when he was a kid. The film script is being written by Alex Schemmer and John Poll will direct. Production on the project will start in the fall in Los Angeles.
Most of the news surrounding the actress this week though has been the current speculation that Holmes is expecting child number two with husband Tom Cruise. This speculation popped up after recent photos of the actress showed a possible baby bump.
Daily Mail reported on Wednesday that a representative for the actress denied the recent speculation. Katie Holmes is not pregnant. If she was, that might cause an issue for the production of this film.
Fans on Twitter started buzzing about this new film as soon as the casting news was released earlier today. Here are some of the comments made by Fans on Twitter:
