Katie Holmes has been gung-ho about creating fashion since 2009. But on March 3, the actress and her stylist, Jeanne Yang, have closed up shop on Holmes & Yang, their sartorial line.
According to a People source, Katie and Jeanne have "completely grown apart over the past year or so." They no longer can agree on how to work together under the fashion company banner and so that banner has been taken down.
Despite the claims that Katie Holmes and Jeanne Yang no longer are together as a designing team, their site is still up and their goals are very clear.
Their top priorities, as written online, are "supreme quality of fabrics, perfecting the fit, and attention to small details, which is evidenced in the luxurious and sophisticated one-of-a-kind pieces that will find a permanent home in every chic woman’s closet."
Among those chic women who owed and wore the creations that Holmes & Yang put their label on are Nicole Ritchie, Amy Adams and Olivia Wilde.
And, although those top quality garments have been made to the perfection the two were seeking, Katie Holmes' fashion split means Holmes & Yang is kaput.
That said, stay tuned for a new line possibly coming one of these personalities or the other. Hey, a fashionista can dream, can't she?
