Katie Holmes may be dating again. On Feb. 4, 2013, Radar Online reported the 34-year-old is considering slowing returning to the dating scene. However, she's still recovering from the pain left over from divorcing Tom Cruise, in July 2012, after five years of marriage.
Interestingly, according to Radar Online there's another reason. They report that if Holmes dates again she fears she may lose her freedom. "She’s worried that if she commits herself fully to another man, she will have to give up the freedom she’s enjoying so much at the moment. As a single woman, she has no one controlling her nowadays, telling her what to do or who to see and she absolutely loves it!" A source told Radar. "However, at the same time, she also misses being with someone special to share experiences with and she doesn’t want to be alone for the rest of her life."
As reported by TMZ in July 2012, the rumor is the "Dawson's Creek" star filed for divorce from Tom Cruise, back in June 2012, because Cruise, a known follower of Scientology, had plans to send their daughter Suri to a Sea Organization, described by TMZ as a "hardcore Scientology organization."
Now that Katie is free from the clutch of Cruise, she apparently loves New York City, where she now lives with 6-year-old Suri. She's so into The Big Apple her publicist describes her as a "real life Carrie," referring to the character Carrie Bradshaw in "Sex and the City." Katie also has a line of clothing that she co-designed with stylist Jeanne Yang, called Holmes & Yang.
Things seem to be going well for Holmes. She's been divorced less than a year. Should she return to dating now, or should she give it some more time?
