Wouldn't Katie Holmes and Jake Gyllenhaal make the cutest couple? Well too bad, because they're not anywhere close to dating and probably never will be, according to a Jan. 2 report from E! News.
Reports from the Italian tabloid "Grazia" alleging that the former Mrs. Cruise and "End of Watch" actor have been getting cozy after being set up by Holmes' pal -- and former "Dawson's Creek" costar -- Joshua Jackson have been shut down as false by all three parties' camps:
"Katie's rep tells E! News, 'This story has not one ounce of truth,' while Jackson's rep tells us, 'There is no truth to any part of this story,' and Gyllenhaal's rep who also said, 'It's a complete fabrication.'"
Holmes and ex Tom Cruise have both been subject to dating rumors after ending their marriage in June 2012. Holmes was rumored to be attempting to rekindle a romance with Jackson, while Cruise has been linked to restaurant owner Cynthia Jorge and Jennifer Akerman, sister of Cruise's "Rock of Ages" costar, Malin Akerman.
