Katie Couric is set to marry her fiancé John Molner this summer, according to a Feb. 1 People Magazine report. The 57-year-old talk show host spilled the beans on her upcoming wedding to Molner at Howard Stern’s 60th birthday celebration on Friday in New York City. When Stern asked about her wedding plans, Couric happily replied, “Summer!”
While she noted that Stern will not be invited to the wedding, he will be part of the celebrations. “No, but to the party,” she replied in response to Stern’s question regarding his wedding invitation. “[The wedding is] going to be family only.”
Us Weekly reports that Couric her 50-year-old fiancé have been dating for nearly two years, and debuted their relationship in public in Spring 2012. Couric confirmed her engagement last year via Twitter, writing, “Yes it's true! So touched by all the kind Tweets & warm wishes-thank you! A great end to the summer & looking fwd to seeing you all Monday!!”
This will be the second marriage for Couric, whose first husband, Jay Monahan, died of colon cancer in 1998. She is mom to the couple’s two daughters Ellie, 22, and Carrie, 17.
