Katie Couric is pretty upset over the mysterious 911 calls the entertainer is dealing with from her late husband Jay Monahan’s landline telephone. The talk show host discussed the strange calls during a taping of her show Katie and it’s pretty obvious the entertainer is stressed out about the situation. On Thursday she shared with the audience about the calls and it’s obvious the situation is very weird.
Apparently the entertainer’s late husband’s phone has been dialing 911 for help. While there is no actual person dialing, the cops are responding and have sent out a patrol car for every call. On Tuesday morning it happened again and this time the cops called back to see what was going on. After hearing the phone ring in the middle of the night, Couric got up to answer it only to find out the police were called without anyone using the telephone.
So upset about the phone dialing by itself, the talk show host reached out to New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly who directed her to another officer. While it’s possible that the phone is shorting out, it’s also probable that there is a high-tech scam of some sort going on. Either way the cops are looking into the situation to find out what is going on.
