At the reception, the garden at Couric’s home is said to have been the perfect setting with centerpieces that had garden roses, peonies, dahlias, and hydrangeas – as well as others. There was music played by Hank Lane. There was even word regarding the dessert for the occasion. Guests were treated to a strawberry lemon cake which was provided by Topping Rose House of Bridgehampton, New York – a caterer. Couric admitted that her new husband was the wedding planner. The plans included a small dinner in New York.

Couric, the 57-year-old television journalist, was engaged to Molner, 51, last September. They had dated two years prior to the engagement. Fans of Couric have known about the impending wedding since she announced it when she was at Howard Stern’s 60th birthday party in New York City in January.

The bride and the groom have both been married once before. Couric’s first husband was Jay Monahan. He passed away in 1998 after a bout with colon cancer. Molner divorced his first wife Jane, according to NBC.
