Katie Couric has tied the knot with fiancé of 10 months, John Molner. They married on the first day of summer, according to a report by USA Today which was published on June 22. The report states that Couric and Molner got married at Couric’s home in East Hampton, New York on June 21, the first day of summer, according to a report by Access Hollywood.. The wedding was small with 50 people including friends and family. This also included Couric’s daughters who are 22-years-old and 18-years-old. Molner’s children were also at the wedding ceremony.
Couric is 57-years-old and her new husband is 51-years-old. Couric stated, “So excited to make my debut as Mrs John Molner” on Twitter after the ceremony.
Katie’s dress was designed by Carmen Marc Valvo and was ivory in color. It was also crystal beaded as well as had an embroidered Chantilly lace halter gown with it. John Ellis, who is a good friend of the new married couple, married them. Molner’s nieces and nephews were the flower girls and the ring bearers.
This is the new Mrs. Molner’s second marriage. Her first husband, Jay Monahan, died in 1998 from colon cancer. After he passes away at the young age of 42-years old, Couric dedicated her life to raising awareness about colon cancer. She went through such a terrible heartache when she lost him. However, she has found love once again and intends on being happy with her second husband, John Molner.
Her fans were happy that she found love again and remarried. She did an interview with Parade in 2012 and they asked her if she would ever marry again. She stated that she would like to and thought she was the marrying kind.
Now that she is married again, we all wish her a happy life with her new husband and the rest of her friends and family.
