Venexiana designer, Kati Stern, presented a very ambitious collection presenting a whapping 73 gowns in her Spring 2014 Collection. There was a gown for everyone--silhouettes spanned one shoulder dresses, strapless gowns, blouson frocks and halter garbs. Gorgeous trains followed detailed gowns; some floor length, some with a thigh-high slit for added drama.
While punk music played in the background, models marched down in pale, metallic-threaded evening gowns with an infusion of old Hollywood glamour and lively touches of color and crystal. Some of the standout gowns included the body-conscious mermaid cuts and draped gowns that were reminiscent of 1940s screen sirens. Several dresses featured waist, chest, or back accents in the form of sparkling crystal belts, chains, or decals in intricate patterns. The lace overlays and jeweled details were very successful.
While the main color scheme for Venexiana Spring 2012 collection was a palette of glittering powder blue, gold, lavender, sage, and blush, there were a few contrasting pieces including bright pink polka-dotted fabric as well as oversize floral prints.
Materials were heavily embellished and featured plenty of shine as metallic threading made its way through key pieces like a strapless aquamarine evening gown and a strapless dark powder blue gown.
